Testimonials

Words from Koala-T Coons families. We are grateful for every kitten placed in a loving home.

I cannot recommend Koala T-Coons enough! They are genuine, knowledgeable, and truly care about their cats and kittens. Their pricing is fair, and you can clearly see the amount of love, time, and care that goes into raising each kitten. I have purchased two kittens from them, and both experiences were wonderful from start to finish. The kittens were incredibly well socialized, healthy, affectionate, and clearly raised in a loving environment. They adjusted quickly to our home and have amazing temperaments. If you are looking for a breeder who is honest, caring, and dedicated to producing beautiful, well cared for kittens, Koala T-Coons is absolutely worth it!

KerriaKoala-T Coons kitten family

I’ve always wanted a Maine Coon kitten/cat. And just recently through a mutual friend, that became a reality. She told me about the Koala-T Coons cattery and I should give them a call. From the very beginning I am beyond glad I did. The owners of this cattery, Lori and Alex, are very kind and caring. They don’t sell junk, you get a healthy, beautiful, and sweet kitten at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Koala-T Coons cattery if you are interested in buying a Maine Coon cat. You Will Not Be Disappointed!! I got two.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything families ask before bringing home a Koala-T Coons kitten.

How much do Maine Coon kittens cost, and how do reservations work?

Koala-T Coons kittens are $2,800 to $3,500. We sell kittens as pets only. To reserve a kitten, a deposit is required; it is applied toward the purchase price. The deposit is non-refundable if you choose not to complete the adoption. If your kitten becomes unavailable or a defect is found before placement, your deposit is returned. Call or text (717) 810-7006 to discuss availability.

When must my kitten be spayed or neutered?

We do not spay or neuter kittens before they leave. All pet kittens must be altered between 8 and 10 months of age. Maine Coons are a large, slower-maturing breed; waiting until that window is generally better for their health than using the same timeline as smaller cats. Your veterinarian can help you schedule surgery.

Are Maine Coon cats good with kids and other pets?

Maine Coons are widely known as a gentle, family-friendly breed. We still screen every home. We do not place kittens in households where other animals are not good with cats, or where someone in the home has cat allergies. Buyers must be able to afford lifelong care and have a lifestyle suited to a companion cat.

How long is the waitlist for a Maine Coon kitten?

Waitlist length varies depending on the time of year and available litters. We typically have 1–3 litters per year. We encourage families to inquire early and get on our notification list - we reach out to waitlisted families first when a new litter is announced.

What health testing do you do on your breeding cats?

All Koala-T Coons breeding cats are tested for HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), PKD (polycystic kidney disease), and FeLV/FIV. We work with a licensed veterinarian and share health documentation with every adopting family. Kittens leave with a full veterinary health certificate, age-appropriate vaccinations, and deworming.

Do your kittens come with TICA registration?

Yes. Koala-T Coons is a TICA-registered cattery and all kittens are eligible for TICA registration. Registration paperwork is included with your kitten. We breed to the TICA Maine Coon breed standard with a focus on health, temperament, and correct conformation.

What comes with a Koala-T Coons kitten?

Kittens go home with their first vaccines, a health certificate, and proper deworming. We do not alter kittens before pickup and we do not send food home with the kitten. For the life of the cat, we offer complimentary nail trims and grooming at Koala-T Coons.

How does pickup work, and do you ship kittens?

We do not ship. Pickup is at our cattery in Chambersburg, PA, by appointment. We do not publish our street address on the website; directions are shared with confirmed families. Phone: (717) 810-7006.

What are your pet-home and lifelong care requirements?

Every kitten we place must stay on a high-quality diet, may not be declawed, may not live outdoors, and may not be kept in kennels or cages. Kittens may not be bred, given away, surrendered, or rehomed without our agreement. If you cannot keep the cat, it must be returned to Koala-T Coons.

What colors and patterns do Maine Coon kittens come in?

Maine Coons come in many colors and patterns recognized by TICA, including classic tabby, mackerel tabby, tortoiseshell, solid, smoke, and more. At Koala-T Coons, what we produce varies by litter and pairing. Ask what colors and patterns we expect from upcoming litters.
